Todays post is a little off the wall in some ways, because it has to do with people in general. Have you ever noticed how two people could be talking about something and when one feels the urge to prove his or her point, that person then gets just a hint louder then before. Then when the other person in the conversation proves his or her point the volume level comes back down.
That seems normal if you think about it but what about the people who are watching all this, kinda of like a tennis match ya know back and forth. I mean its like a bad car accident that you just have to see. Sometimes we even root for a winner, now does this mean that there is something wrong with us as humans or is it just our animal like instinct.

Good Reading
Here are three books by one of my favorite authors Sonny Girard, he really knows how to pull you into a story. Also check out the links to the side for his My Space page and his new website which is under construction at tis time.
With razor-sharp honesty, Sonny Girard, an ex-mobster himself, tells the story of “Mickey Boy” Messina, just paroled from prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and in love with his brother’s ex-girlfriend, Laurel, a complication on his road to becoming a “made man” in the Calabra Crime Family. Mickey Boy’s mother, Connie, carries a secret of an affair that could cost her son his life. Chrissy Augusta, a top mobster’s teenage daughter, walks a dangerous tightrope with a secret lover from another Cosa Nostra family. All three affairs collide with tragic results in the midst of a bloody mob war.
From Little Italy social clubs to mob bedrooms, BLOOD OF OUR FATHERS is a tale of intimacy, loyalty and betrayal in the underworld – an underworld caught up in a war that threatens the life of everyone associated with it. Three love stories in a mob setting rather than a mob story, BLOOD OF OUR FATHER portrays family secrets, authentic organized crime politics, and bloodshed that crackles with vivid detail.
“An authentic thriller from a mob guy who’s obviously been there.” --Nicholas Pileggi, author “Wiseguy/Goodfellas”
"Girard captivates the reader. He is an accomplished storyteller."
—Literary Journal )
"Girard shines as a storyteller."
—Publisher’s Weekly
Snake Eyes
Small-time mobster Neil DiChristo is a happy-go-lucky bookmaker who prefers wine, women, and good food, not necessarily in that order, to any serious work or crime. One morning he is dragged out of his house by a team of FBI agents who have put together enough false information to throw him in prison for life and mark him as an informant to get him killed. All they want, they say, is for him to get close enough to a Russian operative to bring him down. It seems the only chink is the Russian’s gambling habit, and DiChristo’s credentials in that area give him the greatest chance of gaining the supposed spy’s confidence. With no good option available, he reluctantly agrees.
From the opening page, Neil DiChristo is catapulted into a bizarre world of intrigue, murder, and more sex and romance than is healthy for anyone—where nothing is as it seems and his fate is beyond his control. All Neil wants is to be left alone.
Fat chance.

"Girard shines as a storyteller."
—Publisher’s Weekly (about Blood of Our Fathers
Not since Mario Puzo’s Godfather has a novel so passionately captured the soul of organized crime as did mob insider Sonny Girard’s astounding debut, Blood of Our Fathers. Now Girard brings us the extraordinary successor, an explosive drama of the changes rocking the American Mafia…
In one swift stroke, an assassin’s bullet elevated Mickey Boy Messina from foot soldier to boss of the Calabra Crime Family – and left him with a legacy of pain and confusion. Now Mickey Boy is walking a delicate line, caught between the thrill of a power he never dreamed would be his, and Frank Halloran, a rock-hard parole officer determined to bring him down; between Don Peppino Palermo, a treacherous old Sicilian boss scheming to change the face of New York’s organized crime, and Laurel, Mickey Boy’s smart, sexy, no-nonsense wife. For her sake – and for the sake of Hope, the baby daughter he prayed for to end his line of mob inheritance – Mickey Boy is filled with a new ambition: to lead his people away from their criminal tradition and into the legitimate world. But in a dark society laced with misplaced trusts, and peppered with sudden and violent revenge, the road into daylight has always been paved with blood and sorrow…
“Sonny’s works bring me back to the gritty street life I also left behind. His jail scenes are so clear they make me shudder as I return there.”
-- Christopher Gambino, Author (My Only Son, Passionate Kiss)
“Vividly portrays the American Mafia…Girard captivates the reader with his insider’s knowledge…He is an accomplished storyteller.”

What W e Eat
A few months back I went to the doctors and I was told that I had pre-diabetes and had to start checking my blood sugar and watching what I ate. So I had to changed my whole diet from fast food to real food and it was not easy. Thank god for my wife who really kept me on my toes and I lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks just eating salads and home cooked meals. '
Now that I have it under control I do slack off here and there from time to time but I will nevver forget when I heard the doctor tell me what was wrong. When I found out I went right online and tried to find out as much as I could about Diabetes. I also joined the American Diabetes Association and found all the info i needed and I still get the newsletters and emails. So here are some thing you might like to know.
Healthy Choices
In the Grove this Winter
Cold winter weather got you down? Reach for citrus fruits! Grapefruits, oranges, kumquats, pomelos, lemons and limes - they are all in season now. And not only are they refreshing, but very healthy as well.
Citrus fruits are high in vitamin C and potassium, contain good amounts of vitamin A and fiber, and are also a good source of some important cancer-fighting compounds. Remember, all that vitamin C can help your body ward off illness during the winter cold and flu season. So get in the grove and load up on citrus!.
Meals to Savor
Citrus fruits are not only great to eat out-of-hand. They refresh main courses, salads and desserts as well. Use them now while they are in peak season, and enjoy!
Mandarin Orange Chicken Salad
Avocado, Kumquat and Grapefruit Salad with Bibb Lettuce and Watercress
Pan-Roasted Scallops with Mandarins and Chickpeas
Grilled Pork Chops with Orange-Rosemary Relish
Ginger'd Ambrosia
You can find out more from foodfit.com and the American Diabetes Association.

Moms, babes in arms shot dead
This just goes to show you how sick this world can be, this was sent to me by a co-worker and it is a news article from CNN.com. It just shows you how crazy some people are. Please read:
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (AP) -- A baby, a toddler and their mothers were shot to death while the women held their children in their arms, police said Tuesday as officers searched for two men seen running from the victims' home.
All four victims were shot repeatedly late Monday, said Indianapolis Assistant Police Chief Eva Talley-Sanders.
All died at the house on the city's north side except for 4-month-old Charlii Yarrell, who died at a hospital.
"I can't imagine what kind of evil it takes to shoot two women and the innocent children in their arms," Police Chief Michael Spears said at a news conference.

Shaiya
This is an online free to play free to download mmorpg, which is outstanding. The game play is simple but fun, the graphics rock for a free online game and the community can vary from all walks of life. This is one of the best games I have played in a long time. Did i mention that it is free, it has different modes of play and the PVP aspect is off the hook.
Don't take my word for it click on the link and try it yourself and tell me what you think. I look forward to posting about my guild the Asylum too so stay tuned.
